This type of decoration where you cut out pictures and glue them to different objects is called découpage. This means "cutting out" in French.

As well as using motifs from wrapping paper, you could also cut out pictures from magazines or photos. Do you have a favourite pop star, sports personality or comic book character, for example? Why not use pictures of them to decorate a container.

Can you think of different ways of decorating the tins? You don't have to use just pictures: you could use ribbon, or lace as well. Or even pieces of pasta! How would you fix pasta to the tin?
