Unfold the material and try the top on. Trim it if it's too wide and too long and then cut the bottom in a zigzag pattern. This will make it look ragged and more like the top of a pirate who's been at sea for a long time.

Ask an adult to help you sew up the sides - just leaving two holes for your arms.

Now the pirate top needs a belt. What can you use to make one?
