Using Imaginator

Click on ‘launch' to open the Imaginator. The first screen will have eight different types of story for you to choose from – click on one of them.

You will then be given three options: you can either read a complete story, fill the gaps in a part-built story or try your hand at writing your very own story by choosing the blank story. Click on one of the three options.

You will then be in the Imaginator story area. Here's what each of the items can do:

menu Click on any of these to add backgrounds, characters, objects and special effects to your story. You can also choose some ready-made scripts to add to your story text. Just click to select the one you would like to use and it will appear in your story scene.

your stories button You can save your stories, then view or edit them whenever you like.

preview button Click on this button to see your complete story. Use the arrows to go forward or back through the 10 scenes.

new button Click on this to change your story type. Remember to save your story first if you want to keep it!

There are 10 scenes in total. You can view the different scenes of your story at any time by clicking on any of these numbers.

rotate button You can rotate an image in your story by first clicking on the image you would like to rotate, and then clicking on this button.

flip button You can turn an image over so that it's a mirror image by clicking on the image you would like to flip and then clicking on this button. This is very handy with the characters!

scale up button You can make images larger by first clicking on the image you would like to increase in size and then clicking on this button.

scale down button ...and you can make images smaller by first clicking on the image you would like to decrease in size and then clicking on this button.

copy button This a handy tool – if you need to copy an entire scene just click on this button. This means you can write a number of pieces about the same scene without having to add all of the images one-by-one again!

paste button Once you have copied a scene you can then paste it to another scene. Just click on the scene number you would like to paste in, and then click on this icon. Easy!

delete button You can delete a single image by first clicking on it and then clicking on this icon.

tick button If you would like to save your story, just click on this button.

print button You can print out your entire story by clicking on this button.
