what if?
... your homework could fly

Flying homework sounds like a great idea, doesn't it? It could just fly straight out of the window and never come back!

Even though this seems like a fun thing to do, we wouldn't recommend it. You'll get into a lot of trouble if you throw your homework out of any windows! However, the boring old paper that you normally just write on really can fly - all you need to do is make it into a paper aeroplane.

People have been making paper aeroplanes for years. The trouble is that most of them aren't very good. We bet that you've made paper aeroplanes that didn't work very well: you throw them, and within a couple of seconds they crash into the floor. This happens because most people make paper aeroplanes in the same old way - a couple of folds and it's done. Well, there's more to making a good paper aeroplane than that - it needs to be designed well and made carefully.

So at What If, we've decided to show you how to make some really good paper aeroplanes. Some fly very fast, others fly long distances. They're all good fun to make, and even more fun to use. Practice making some first, and then try having a contest with your friends to see who can make the best. Soon you'll be designing and making your very own paper planes!
