We all know that languages are what we use to communicate. If we speak the same language as someone we can understand them, tell them things, make them laugh, or even make them cry. I think we all agree that language is a very useful thing.
So why would anyone want to use a secret language? After all, a secret language means that not everyone would be able to understand what you say or write.

Well, that's exactly the point. Sometimes you simply don't want everyone to know what you're saying or thinking. We all have secrets that we only want to share with our friends, and not anyone else. That's when a secret language is useful: only other people who know how it works will be able to understand you.
