What is GridClub?

GridClub was launched in January 2001 with the support of the DfES (Department for Education and Skills). The overall management of GridClub is carried out by Grid Learning Ltd, based in London, in association with a range of partner companies.

GridClub is one of the most popular primary school websites in the UK because of its innovative design and fun approach to learning. It is intended to be so motivational for children that they will be happy to play the games at home, even when they know they have educational content. The games and activities in the Learning Centre cover a substantial part of the curriculum requirements for 5 to 12 year olds. If you want to see the detail of this please visit the Teachers area.

GridClub has games to make Maths fun and History funny, activities to help children be artistic and musical, opportunities to play chess and explore big ideas in What If?

Boredom becomes a thing of the past.

GridClub is about fun and at the same time developing some key skills: literacy, numeracy, computer skills, creative skills, citizenship and another language...for example.

For an overview of content click on the SITE MAP.

Note: because the four nations that make up the UK have slightly differing curriculum requirements you will find some materials (as in history) that relate to one country more than another. However, we think children anywhere in the UK will enjoy any of the various activities.
