What shapes the cliffs along the seashore?
Coastal cliffs are continually battered by the sea, and the waves compress the air in their cracks. A headland is worn away from each side, becoming narrower, until caves and arches are punched through. These eventually collapse, leaving the offshore parts standing as sea stacks.
