What causes waves?
|
Wind over the sea pushes surface water particles along with it. This sets up a rolling motion in the water, moving the water particles in a vertical, circular path. The water itself does not travel far, but the movement, transferred from one particle to another, makes waves that cross the oceans. | The waves meet the land |
