Who were the Aryans?
|
The Aryan people were nomadic herdsmen, probably from central Asia, who invaded India from the north in about 1500 BC. They occupied the valleys of the Indus and then the Ganges rivers, and forced the original inhabitants, the Dravidians, to move south.
