What made the Gulf States rich?
|
The nations around the Persian Gulf - Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Oman - are rich in oil and natural gas. It was the discovery of oil that brought enormous wealth to the Gulf States. Saudi Arabia is the second-biggest producer of crude oil in the world, after Russia. | Kuwait's flag is in the pan-Arab colours of red, white, green, and black. |
