Can fish fly?
|
Fish are not capable of true flight, but some, like the flying fish, can glide through the air. If a flying fish is being chased by a predatory fish, it will rapidly swim to the surface. As it leaps from the water it spreads its wing-like fins and glides for over 30 metres before splashing down. | The flying fish has fins that can be stretched out to form wings. |
