How do plants spread their seeds?
|
Some seeds grow inside fruits. These are eaten by animals and emerge in their dung, often some distance away. Other plants have seed cases that split open, scattering seeds in all directions. Some seeds, such as nuts and grains, are gathered by animals and stored in larders, while others have tiny hooks that cling to animals' coats. Finally, some are wind-borne or carried by water. | fruit is full of seeds |
