What is gravity?
|
Gravity is a force of attraction that exists between any object and the Earth. You can feel this force when you try to lift an object; its weight is due to the force of gravity pulling the object back to Earth. In the 1600s, the Italian scientist Galileo discovered that all objects fall back to Earth at the same rate, whatever their weight. | Galileo proved that a light object and a heavy one fall at the same rate. |
