The largest warship is the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, launched in 1960. It measures 335.5 metres long. The flight deck is almost 77 metres wide, with an area of 18,000 sq metres. The ship's maximum speed is 35 knots (40 mph/64 kph).
