Is a starfish really a fish?

Starfish are not fish they belong to the group of sea animals called echinoderms. The name means 'spiny-skinned'. Starfish have arms, but no head, and no front or back. They move slowly by gripping the seabed with water-filled tubes on their arms. The starfish's arms are so strong that they can pull apart the two shells of a mussel to reach the food inside.
