What is chemical analysis?
|
Chemists use chemical analysis to find out what an unknown substance contains. There are several methods. Volumetric analysis involves reactions in solutions. Gravimetric analysis involves weighing. In gas-liquid chromatography gas carries the sample through a column of moist powder. The sample separates into simpler compounds which are recorded on a chart as they leave the column.
