Ancient Cave Man
In 1906, the Hungarian-born, British archaeologist Aurel Stein discovered the Cave of 1,000 Buddhas near Dunhuang in China. The cave had been walled up since the 11th century and contained priceless manuscripts and paintings dating from the 5th to the 10th centuries.
