Over The Top
The first journey from Europe to North America over the North Pole was made by airship in 1926. On board was Roald Amundsen, leader of the first expedition to reach the South Pole. He was also the first person to sail through the infamous Northwest Passage, a sea route from the Atlantic to the Pacific, north of Canada.
