Table Manners
|
When eating a mussel or an oyster, a starfish pulls its victim’s shell open. It then pushes its stomach into the shell, wraps it round its prey and then digests it.
The giant blue whale, over 30 metres long and weighing nearly 200 tonnes, eats only tiny shrimp-like creatures called krill, but it takes in millions in one mouthful.
Crocodiles kill about 2000 people each year.
If an octopus becomes upset, it may eat itself.
