What are clouds?

 | | Different layers of the atmosphere produce different types of cloud. |
When water in the air condenses, it forms tiny droplets. These are so light that they do not fall as rain; instead millions of them gather together as clouds. Fluffy-looking clouds have the word 'cumulus' in their name. Clouds formed in layers are called 'stratus'. Wispy ice clouds are called 'cirrus'.
