Where does rain come from?
|
The Sun makes water evaporate from the surface of the sea, turning it into water vapour in the air. The vapour is blown inland by the wind. Over hills, this moist air rises and the water condenses, falling as rain or snow. The rainwater eventually finds its way back to the sea via rivers. | | The constant circulation of water that produces rain is called the water cycle. |
