What were early African villages like?
|
In many parts of rural Africa, village houses look the same today as they have always looked. Wooden poles are bound together to make a circular structure. The walls are made of mud, and the roofs thatched with grass. In some villages the houses are long and rectangular, and the flat roofs are covered with earth. The outsides of the walls are often decorated with bright colours. | The women of the village pound the local grain to make flour. |
