What is the Sphinx?
|
The Sphinx is a huge, human-headed lion made of stone at the site of the Great Pyramid at Giza. It measures over 57 metres long. Historians think it may be much older than the Great Pyramid, and was possibly intended to guard the entrance to the Nile. | the Sphinx |
