What was Greek pottery like?
The Greeks made some of the finest pottery and sculpture ever. They learned their skills from the East, but they developed their own styles. In Athens, 200 potters and painters worked together to make the best pots in the world.
This large pot was used for mixing wine and water at parties. Fine pots were usually signed by the artist.
