Which gods did the Canaanites worship? The Canaanites had many gods and goddesses. They made idols, which were supposed to look like these gods, and they worshiped them in hilltop temples. One of the most important was Baal, god of fertility and weather. The Philistines inherited many of the Canaanite gods.
