Why did people migrate to America?
|
The first people to arrive in America across the land bridge from Asia were hunters, who probably went there following herds of animals. They hunted large animals called mammoths and mastodons, which were adapted to the cold weather. They also caught and ate fish, and picked wild plants such as herbs, nuts, and berries. | The early Americans hunted with stone-tipped spears, and made their tents and clothes from animal skins. |
