The world's widest long-span bridge is Sydney Harbour Bridge, in Australia. It is 48.8 metres wide and carries eight road lanes, two electric railway tracks, a cycle track, and a pedestrian walkway. The bridge, which is 509 metres long, took five years to build. It was opened in 1932.
