Which is the highest mountain in Europe?

At 5,642 metres high, Mount Elbrus, on the Russian border, is Europe's highest peak. It is in the Caucasus mountains, which form part of the boundary between Europe and Asia. Mont Blanc, in the Alps, is 4,807 metres.
