What are the main parts of the brain?
The human brain may consist of about 10,000 million nerve cells. It has three main parts: the cerebrum is the largest part and is where learning and memory take place; the cerebellum co-ordinates muscular activity such as walking; and the brain stem controls involuntary activity such as breathing.
