Why do we sweat?
We sweat when the outside temperature is high and the body needs to cool down. Glands in the skin produce the salty liquid we call sweat, which moves through pores (narrow openings) in the surface of the skin. The sweat spreads over the warm skin and evaporates, causing the body to cool down.
