Who was 'Lucy'?
'Lucy' was the name given to the remains of an Australopithecus (early human-like creature) discovered in 1974 in Ethiopia. Leg and arm bones were found, as well as ribs, a hip, and parts of her skull. 'Lucy' lived about 3 million years ago.
