Who is the patron saint of children?
St. Nicholas, also called Santa Claus, is the patron saint of children. He was a bishop who lived in Asia Minor, in present-day Turkey, over 1,600 years ago. Stories about how he gave gifts of gold to poor children started the legend of Father Christmas.
