Where is the Empty Quarter?
|

The Rub' al Khali, or Empty Quarter, is in Saudi Arabia. It is one of the largest stretches of sand in the world, and forms part of the Arabian Desert. It is so hot and dry in the Rub' al Khali region that few people ever go there, though Bedouin nomads wander across its edges.
