How high is Lake Titicaca?
Lake Titicaca lies high in the Andes mountains on the border between Peru and Bolivia, at an altitude of 3,811 metres. People have lived on the bleak, treeless plateau around the lake for over 10,000 years. Today it is home to the Aymara people.
