How big is a soccer pitch?
|
Every full-sized soccer pitch must be between 91-119 metres long, and between 46-91 metres wide. However, a pitch cannot be 91 sq. metres because the rules say that it must be longer than it is wide. These dimensions mean that the biggest allowable pitch can be over 2.5 times the area of the smallest. The size of the goals, goal areas, and penalty areas have to be the same for every pitch. | A soccer goal is always 7.3 metres wide and 2.4 metres high. |
