What does the chequered flag stand for?
|
In motor racing, the chequered flag signals the end of a race. It is waved at the side of the track to the winning driver, to let him know that he has completed the right number of laps of the track. Other coloured flags are used to warn drivers or to tell them to stop. | The chequered flag is easily seen, even by cars travelling at incredibly high speeds. |
