Can the same creature evolve twice?
The same type of creature cannot evolve more than once, but different types of creatures often evolve similar methods for adapting themselves to their environment. This may result in similar behaviour or feeding habits, or may cause quite different animals to look alike. Many animals that live in open grassland, from wallabies to kangaroo rats, have developed the ability to run or hop on a pair of long back legs, and they may even look similar.
Many different animals have evolved the technique of bounding along on two legs.
