Which fish need lights?
If you sank down into the black depths of the sea, thousands of feet beneath the surface, you would find yourself surrounded by glowing specks of light. On closer examination you would discover that many of these glowing specks were fish with luminous bodies. Deepsea fish emit light so that they can locate one another. Some, like the angler fish, use light to hunt. The angler fish has a long thread dangling from its head, on the end of which is a light. Smaller fish are attracted to the light and then devoured.
Many deepsea fish are phosphorescent, which means they glow in the dark.
