How does a plant complete its life cycle?
|
| The life cycle of a plant, from seed to maturity | Each year, a plant produces seeds. Many die, but some germinate and produce the roots and shoots of a new plant. The plant grows and soon produces more leaves. Eventually flowers appear. Pollen from the male flowers fertilises the female flowers. The bases of the female flowers swell as the new seeds form, ready to complete the life cycle.
