Which is the largest moth?
Large moths can be found throughout the tropical regions of South America, Asia, and Australia. The largest is Australia's Hercules moth, with a wingspan of 28 cm. Almost as big is the atlas moth from southern Asia. It is bigger than many of the birds that share its rain forest habitat. Although it has colourful markings, it blends in well among fallen leaves and bark on the forest floor.
