What is inside an insect?
The soft tissues in an insect's body are protected by its hard outer casing. The digestive system runs along the length of the body, and the heart bathes the important organs with blood. The nervous system connects all parts of the body to the brain. Openings called spiracles allow oxygen to enter the body.
