Which is the most deadly spider?
Black widow spiders are usually thought to be the most deadly of their kind. There are several very similar species found across North America and Australia. They like dark, shady places and often find their way into houses; several people die each year after being bitten. Black widow spiders make untidy webs, and feed mainly on small insects and other spiders. Although deadly, they are not especially impressive to look at, being small, black, and shiny.
