What is a marsupial?
A marsupial is a type of mammal that gives birth to its young when they are still small and unformed. These tiny babies continue growing inside their mother's pouch, feeding on her milk, until they are big enough to live on their own. Kangaroos, koala bears, and wombats are all examples of marsupials.
