How do monkeys and apes communicate?
|
| A gibbon calls out to other gibbons as it leaps from branch to branch. | Monkeys and apes communicate in lots of different ways. They gesture, make noises, and have facial expressions. These facial expressions may be similar to those of humans, but they do not always mean the same thing. When a monkey 'smiles', it is threatening you by revealing its teeth.
