Which cattle breeds are best for hot climates?
Many breeds of cattle do not like hot climates and only thrive in areas with cool summers. Two breeds are, however, perfectly suited to warmer regions. The Santa Gertrudis is a stocky breed with short horns. It is farmed for beef and is popular in Texas. The Kankrej is common in India and is used mainly for pulling loads. It has a large hump and long horns.
