Can a chameleon really change its colour?
Yes, chameleons can change the colour of their skin, though they cannot exactly match their background. If you put a chameleon on a striped towel, it will not become striped itself. It may turn black, however, to show that it is angry, because chameleons can change colour according to how they are feeling.
The chameleon catches its prey with a long, sticky tongue.
