What is a sea mammal?
A sea mammal is a mammal that spends some or all of its life in the sea. Whales and dolphins spend their whole lives at sea. Seals and walruses spend most of their time in the water, but must return to land to mate and give birth. Polar bears often hunt at sea.
The polar bear is an excellent diver and can be found swimming more than 100 miles (160 km) from land.
