When did the first powered aeroplane fly?
|
The Wright brothers' Flyer 1 biplane first flew in 1903. It was airborne for only 12 seconds and travelled for about 30 metres at roughly the speed of a galloping horse. Today, planes can fly at several times the speed of sound. | Flyer 1 |
