What is a personal computer?
|
A personal computer (PC) is one that can be used in homes, schools, and offices. It consists of the computer itself with the CPU (central processing unit), RAM (random access memory), disk drives, and a keyboard and mouse for inputting data. There is also a visual display unit (VDU), or monitor. | The heart of a PC is the microprocessor chip in the central-processing unit (CPU). |
