What happened to Skylab?
|
The U.S. space station Skylab was launched in 1973. Although badly damaged during lift-off, it allowed many scientific experiments to be carried out successfully. It fell out of orbit in 1979 after circling Earth 34,981 times, and was destroyed as it re-entered Earth's atmosphere. | | A space station |
